Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 12 May 2025  ·  Effective Date: 12 May 2025

Please read these terms carefully before using the Krua Chambers website or engaging our services. By visiting our website or instructing us to act on your behalf, you agree to the terms set out below. If you have any questions, we are always happy to explain anything in plain language — please contact us at [email protected] or call +66 53 271 46 89.

1. About Us

Krua Chambers is a family law practice registered and operating in Thailand. Our principal office is at 103 Thanon Tha Phae, Mueang, Chiang Mai 50100, Thailand. These terms govern your use of our website at kruachamb.sbs (the "Site") and, where applicable, the professional services we provide (the "Services").

2. Use of This Website

This Site is provided for general information about Krua Chambers and our Services. You may use it for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

  • Use the Site in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or deceptive
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site or its underlying systems
  • Transmit unsolicited commercial communications or malicious software
  • Reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit any content from the Site without our prior written consent

We reserve the right to restrict or remove access to the Site at any time without notice where we believe these conditions have been breached.

3. Information on This Site Is Not Legal Advice

All content on this Site is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice and should not be relied upon as such. Family law in Thailand is nuanced, and the right course of action will depend on the specific facts of your situation. Please contact us directly to discuss your circumstances — we are here to help, and an initial conversation can provide far more relevant guidance than any website content.

4. Our Services

When you engage Krua Chambers for legal services, a separate client care letter and engagement agreement will be provided. That agreement, together with these terms, forms the basis of our relationship. Our current service offerings are:

Family Matter Consultation

A private, attentive first conversation covering your family concern, relevant law, and available options — concluded with a written overview and suggested next steps.

฿4,600

Cooperative Resolution Support

Calm assistance in reaching fair arrangements through mediation preparation, agreement drafting and review, and respectful communication with updates at each stage.

฿9,300

Full Family Proceedings Support

Comprehensive support where a matter must go to formal proceedings, including case preparation, court representation, and ongoing correspondence handled with discretion throughout.

฿17,800

All fees shown are base rates. The engagement letter you receive before we begin work will confirm the exact fee applicable to your matter. Fees are quoted inclusive of applicable Thai taxes unless stated otherwise.

5. Payment

Payment terms will be set out in your engagement letter. We typically request payment before or at the commencement of work unless a different arrangement has been agreed in writing. We accept payment by bank transfer in Thai Baht. Receipts are issued for all payments received. If you have any concern about a fee or invoice, please speak with us — we prefer to resolve any question openly and promptly.

6. Cancellation and Rescheduling

We understand that family circumstances can change unexpectedly. If you need to cancel or reschedule a consultation, please let us know as soon as possible — ideally with at least 24 hours' notice. We will always do our best to find an alternative time that suits you. Cancellations with fewer than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a rebooking fee, which will be communicated clearly in your engagement letter.

7. Confidentiality

We treat everything you share with us as strictly confidential. As legal practitioners in Thailand, we are bound by professional duties of confidentiality that apply both during and after our engagement. We will not disclose information about your matter to any third party without your consent, except where required by Thai law or court order, or where necessary to prevent serious harm. Our approach to personal data is described fully in our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including text, design, layout, and graphics — is the intellectual property of Krua Chambers or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright law. You may print or download content for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

While we take care to keep the information on this Site accurate and up to date, we cannot warrant that it is free from errors or that it reflects the most current legal position at all times. To the extent permitted by Thai law:

  • We exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on information provided on this Site (as distinct from formal legal advice provided under an engagement agreement)
  • We are not responsible for the content of any third-party websites linked from this Site
  • Our liability in connection with professional services provided under an engagement agreement is governed by that agreement and applicable Thai law

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Thai law.

10. Third-Party Links

Our Site may contain links to external websites for your convenience. These links do not imply any endorsement of, or responsibility for, the content or practices of those sites. We encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.

11. Cookies

Our Site uses cookies to improve your experience. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time through our cookie consent tool or by adjusting your browser settings. For full details, please see our Cookie Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or best practice. The most current version will always be available on this page, with the "Last Updated" date shown at the top. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you have an active engagement with us, any material changes affecting that engagement will be communicated to you directly.

13. Governing Law

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Thailand. We always prefer to resolve any concern through open conversation before any formal process becomes necessary.

14. Contact Us

If you have any questions about these terms, or about how we work, please reach out to us. We are always glad to hear from you.
